Iñaki is a senior executive with more than 20 years of experience in risk management, compliance, and sustainability within the mining, energy, and natural resources industries. He has held corporate positions at Antofagasta Minerals (FTSE 100) as Corporate Manager of Risk, Compliance, and Internal Control, leading teams across five mining operations in Chile, a transport subsidiary, and international projects in the U.S. He later served as Senior Manager at EY Consulting in Chile and Spain, where he led GRC, ESG, and risk management programs for global companies such as BHP, Codelco, Anglo American, and Repsol, among others. He has international experience in the UK, Czech Republic, Spain, and Chile.
His career combines the ability to design and implement corporate Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) models, internal control systems, and compliance programs aligned with international standards (FCPA, UKBA, OECD, ISO, CSDDD). He has driven the digital transformation of compliance and sustainability processes through cutting-edge technology platforms, enhancing efficiency, traceability, and reporting capacity to boards and stakeholders.
He is currently a Partner and Managing Partner at Glocal Compliance, an international consulting firm specialized in the design and implementation of strategies for the management of non-financial indicators in the areas of risk, compliance, and ESG. He combines his professional practice with teaching and research as a Senior Professor at Universidad del Desarrollo (UDD), where he leads the Business Sustainability Center of the School of Economics and Business, while also promoting initiatives related to sustainability in the mining sector.
In his role as a TBG Partner, Iñaki leads the evaluation of mining projects in copper, lithium, gold, and silver, supporting global investors in identifying risks and strategic opportunities. His approach integrates business vision, corporate governance expertise, and in-depth knowledge of international regulatory frameworks, providing confidence and robustness in investment decision-making in an increasingly challenging global context.
